Healing Ceremony Information The shamanic healing ceremony is from the Andes shamanic tradition and
is more than a thousand years old. The purpose of the ceremony is to: 1.
Balance and clean the
Chakras 2.
Determine if there are
negative spirits (influences) affecting you and clean them 3.
Repair breaks or cracks in
the energy (etheric) body 4.
Clean the thought and
energy (astral) body 5.
Restore a low energy level 6.
Overall balance and tune
the energy for better sleep and longevity The Shamanic healing ceremony generally takes approximately one hour. It
consists of first a diagnostic and consultation lasting 5-10 minutes and
secondly the actual healing and balancing of what was found during the
diagnostic lasting 45-50 minutes. The
ceremony consists of several steps using elements from the shaman’s mesa or
sacred table such as stones, flowers, cologne, eggs, tobacco and sugar-cane
based alcohol. All of these items are used for affecting the energy body. It
is generally a good idea for the shaman to apply these items directly on the
skin by blowing (the alcohol) or rubbing (the stones) so it is recommended to
come with either a bathing suit or very light loose clothing that you don’t
mind getting slightly damp from the blowing. If you feel dizzy or light headed
during the ceremony that is normal. If you feel very dizzy you many sit in a
chair for a while and continue the ceremony. The
external use of a plant called the Churupanga is used to smooth down the energy.
Fire
is blown at a distance using the alcohol rum to repair and clean the Etheric
body or spirit body. It is not dangerous – be relaxed throughout. The
effects and risks of the ceremony on pregnancy are not known; pregnant women
should be aware that the ceremony may or may not be detrimental, and so you
enter at your own risk. You
may experience the release of emotions or have some visions that may elicit
strong emotional and/or physical reactions. Do not give them undo importance. You
many also sleep the next day for an unusually time. Some
conditions require 2 or 3 ceremony’s to correct over 1-3 months. I
